〖Significance of the lamp〗

"Lantern" is a representation of light and wisdom. It is an important offerings in the Buddhist gate and ten kinds of support.In front of the Buddha, the lights are used to mark the wisdom of the Buddha. It can ignite the "self -lamp" in your heart through the explanation and significance of the lamp.
"The Bodhisattva Tibetan Scriptures" said: "One hundred thousand lights, confession crimes", so when the lighting in front of the Buddha is the light released by the wisdom of the Buddha to break our ignorance and make us feel wisdom.Achieve our wisdom Paramita.
"The Great Collection" said: Because there are many beings who are ignorant and foolish, the Buddha sees it, but teaches them to the wisdom of the fellow initiates, which makes people light the light of wisdom.
The Huayan Scripture also said, "Hui Lan can break the darkness."
Dzha Khyentse Rinpoche said: "In Vajrayana, especially in the Great Perfection of Vajrayana, the meaning of the lamp or lamp is very important. In all symbolic offerings or visible offerings, the lampIt is considered auspicious substance because it represents the heart. In fact, the heart and the lamp have very similarities. Without the lamp in the dark, we cannot see anything; but without the lamp, we cannot see the lamp either. So the lampI did two things: It illuminates itself and illuminates other things. When it illuminates itself,It is a way to illuminate yourself. You can't find the dark side of the lamp, and you can't find the dark side of the lamp that needs the bright side of the lamp to illuminate. Similarly, our hearts are like this: without the heart, we cannot understandThings; but without a heart, the heart does not know itself. Therefore, the heart has the nature of self-knowing, self-evident, or self-illuminating. When the lamp illuminates itself, there is no dark side of the lamp that needs the lamp to illuminate it, The lamp itself is light, which means that our mind is Buddha nature. Therefore, when we offer lamps, what we offer is the mind.
